23rd day on site - BROWN SHRIKE remains on Staines Moor

The first-winter BROWN SHRIKE was showing extremely well this afternoon, affording me with the best views so far. It was favouring the large bushes just north of the river and just 50 yards NW of the boardwalk and was busily gathering food still. It has now been present on site for 23 days and shows no signs of departing.

The footpath to Staines Moor is now very wet and muddy requiring wellington boots to visit. In Stanwell Moor village, turn right at the Anchor public house and continue on Hithermoor Road for 600 yards to park.
